Whether you're a filmmaker preparing to pitch your next project or simply looking to better understand the business side of production, this panel offers practical insights, real-world experiences, and a chance to hear directly from those working at the forefront of the industry.

Mikaela Phillips is a dynamic producer and media force redefining what entertainment can be. From producing international series to award-winning films and original scripted podcasts, she merges creative vision with a sharp production acumen. Her work spans across platforms - television, film, podcast and digital content - consistently pushing boundaries, elevating voices, and captivating global audiences.

Beginning her career in front of the camera, Mikaela quickly expanded her reach behind it. She executive produced and starred in the international prime-hit drama Counter Play, and has since produced and developed content on major platforms including Amazon Prime, Netflix, ViacomCBS, Apple and Spotify. Her debut feature, Madison and the Happiness Jar (2021), received glowing reviews, followed by Malibu Crush (2022), which premiered at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre and earned over 25 festival wins worldwide.

Mikaela continues to break new ground with original and diverse storytelling. Her recent projects include an upcoming feature and origin story Zavier and the Nightkeeper in addition to scripted podcast Seduction, starring Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts.
