A new friendship between two lonely mothers is plunged into jeopardy when they discover that a painful event from one's past lives on in the other’s present. “Use Your Words” is a story of the healing power of friendship.

MICHELLE TATTENBAUM (Director/Producer) is an East Coast based director who works in theater, audio and film, specializing in collaborating with writers on new scripts. She tells stories of marginalized people, stories that transform audiences and the way they see the world. She has directed many theatrical world premieres and New York premieres, and her productions have been nominated for Drama Desk, Lortel, Barrymore, and San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Awards, as well as the Reumert Award (the Danish Tonys). Her short films include “Idea,” which has screened at film festivals worldwide, and the recently-completed “Use Your Words.” In audio, she directs fiction podcasts that are downloaded millions of times each month by listeners around the world. www.michelletattenbaum.com

SARAH SALTWICK (Writer/Producer) is a writer based in Austin, TX. She is a graduate of the Michener Center for Writers at UT Austin and was a Jerome Fellow at the Playwrights' Center in Minneapolis. Her plays have been produced nationally and received critical acclaim from the Austin Critics Table and B. Iden Payne Committee. Recent productions include THE GIRL WHO BECAME LEGEND, co-commissioned by ZACH Theatre in Austin and The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC; THE PLEASURE TRIALS at Amphibian Stage in Fort Worth, TX, Moxie Theatre in San Diego, CA, and Dramashop in Erie, PA and EGRESS, co-written with Melissa Crespo, produced by Amphibian Stage, SLAC in Salt Lake City, TheaterWorks in Hartford, CT, and Cleveland Playhouse in Cleveland, OH. She is also a Co-Director of Holden & Arts Associates, a theatrical booking agency and a company member of the Vortex Theatre in Austin. She shares her home with her husband, musician and visual artist Toto Miranda, their daughter Beatrix, and their cat Lulu.
