Short FilmElana Rubin (she/her) is the writer/director/producer of scalped!, a horror comedy short film about fandom, ticket scalpers, and best friends. scalped!, executive-produced by Homeland‘s Howard Gordon and School of Rock‘s Rivkah Reyes, is an official selection for Marina del Rey Film Festival, California Women’s Film Festival, and Popcorn Frights Film Festival. scalped! won the Best Horror Comedy Short Film at the 2024 Marina del Rey Film Festival and the First Place Audience Award at the California Women’s Film Festival. Elana’s pilot Sofer Sophia is on The Red List for top-rated faith television projects. She was selected as a quarterfinalist for the Outstanding Screenplays Feature Competition for Subscribed to Her and a semifinalist for the ScreenCraft Comedy Screenplay Competition for Lila Tov. Emma Fierberg (she/her) is a cinematographer and still photographer based in LA working in narrative TV and film, as well as music videos, stand-up comedy specials, and commercials. Emma served as DP for the upcoming short film, Happy Sadurday, and for the micro-short Person of the Year. She is honored to lend her craft to scalped! Previously, she spent 6.5 years in NYC working in digital journalism at INSIDER Inc. and CNBC. Emma earned a B.S. in photojournalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a minor in music performance. She loves capturing live music, dance, comedy, and K-9s alike.
