A Filipino-American woman grapples with going behind her strict Catholic sister's back to buy condoms for her 14-year-old niece.
Jen, a 34-year-old Filipino American, visits her older conservative sister Helen for the birthday party of Helen's 7-year-old son. When Jen is sent out to buy birthday candles, Helen's rambunctious 14-year-old daughter Lizzie tags along and asks Jen to buy condoms for her so she can lose her virginity. As Jen wrestles with the decision, memories from the past stir up buried family secrets.

Yasmine Gomez is a Filipino American writer and director of multiple award-winning short films, including TERRA COTTA, ASIAN AMERICAN JESUS, CONSUMED, and LEA SALONGA: WHO I AM INSIDE. In feature films, she helped produce SPLIT AT THE ROOT, A PICTURE OF YOU, and ADVANTAGEOUS. Recently, she produced for Vox, THE ELLEN SHOW, and Beyonce's BLACK IS KING. Yasmine recently debuted her latest play FIRST FILIPINO for Bindlestiff Studio's Stories High.

梁麗君 Barbie Leung is a New York based cinematographer with a dark lyrical visual style. Recent narrative films include Tubi Originals Hidden Exposure (Dir. Todd Bogin), Kids Like Me (Dir. Cynthia Lowen and Jon Cohrs), and an upcoming 2024 feature for FOX Entertainment. Leung was named a 2024 Sundance ReFrame Rise Fellow. She was also selected for the American Society of Cinematographer’s ASC Vision Mentorship program 2022-23, mentored by renown cinematographer Armando Salas, ASC. Documentary feature Battleground (Dir. Cynthia Lowen) world premiered in competition at Tribeca Festival 2022, and the HBO documentary Glitch: The Rise and Fall of HQ Trivia is currently streaming on MAX. Her work has screened at Sundance, SXSW, Fantasia, and Outfest.
