Lived in Bodies
An artist reflects on some of the meaningful projects she has worked on with themes of empowering women, working through trauma and grief and making art more inclusive.

Christina Capra was born in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor's Degree in Film Studies. Christina's grandfather, Frank Capra is the noted film director from the 1930s and 1940s and her father, Frank Capra Jr., was a producer and studio head. Christina is following in her family's footsteps. Christina is passionate about female lead films. Christina's next project is a feature length adaptation of Meredith Ritchie's historical fiction novel, Poster Girls.

Building off her visual arts background, Jessie Robertson uses film to celebrate other artists' stories. As editor and co-creator of documentary shorts like "Karen Paden Crouch in the Land of Make Believe," Jessie works alongside director Christina Capra to reach the hearts of their subjects' stories. Their latest film, "Lived-In Bodies," goes further - exploring both painter Virginia Wright-Frierson's insights and the incredible impacts of her art.
