Ash Blodgett is an award-winning director with a passion for telling stories that spotlight modern social issues through the lens of comedy. She has directed multiple award-winning short films, including the 2019 micro horror comedy Zombie Debt, which was accepted into 17 film festivals, won 6 awards, and premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. As well as the 2023 short film Good Grief that has screened at the Catalina, Sedona, and SIDEWALK Film Festivals. She graduated Brooks Institute of Photography in 2009 with a BA in Cinematography and Film/Video Production with a focus on directing. In 2022 Ash was selected into the Women In Film Mentoring Program, where she was mentored by industry professionals over the course of the year. In 2023 she was selected into the Sidewalk/Stowe Narrative Labs for her feature screenplay Extra Life. In 2024 Ash’s short film Good Grief won a Panavision sponsored $60K Film Package when it won best Cinematography at the Worldwide Women’s Film Festival. Ash is also a member of the Alliance of Women Directors, Women In Film LA, AFI, the Blackmagic Collective, Women In Media, the FilmmakerHers, We Make Movies, and The Producer’s Table filmmaker incubator. Ash also serves as a live action director for LinkedIn Learning, where she directs and manages the production process of online courses. To date, she’s directed over 100 courses that have been viewed by hundreds of thousands of learners. With a flair for satire and a well rounded production experience, Ash is uniquely pre- pared to bring engaging stories to life on screen as a director.
