Short FilmDaria Strachan is a student at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television, majoring in Film and TV Production (Class of 2028). As an LGBTQ Black woman, she understands the importance of representation and the impact that seeing yourself represented in film can have on your development. She strives to change the film industry (and the greater world) for the better by giving a voice to underrepresented communities, and ensuring that everyone has a chance to be seen and heard. Among other recognitions, Daria is among 10 young women nationwide chosen to be in Black Girls Film Camp’s 2024 Teen Director cohort and is a 2024 Point Foundation-NBCUniversal Flagship Scholar.
